Role Overview:

About the Client:

Our client is a premier residential and commercial fencing provider serving the high-demand markets of the Pacific Northwest with a focus on elite craftsmanship and security. They are a Seattle-based contractor specializing in durable, high-quality residential and commercial installations designed for the Pacific Northwest climate. They utilize a premium selection of materials, including Clear Western Red Cedar for privacy and horizontal designs, ornamental iron and powder-coated steel for security, and low-maintenance options like vinyl, aluminum, and vinyl-coated chain link. To ensure structural longevity, they incorporate specialized technology such as PostMaster steel posts and Post-on-Pipe systems, all backed by a multi-year workmanship warranty.

About the Role:

This position serves as the communication backbone of every project. Your primary function is to act as the trusted bridge between our Russian/Ukrainian-speaking field crews and our English-speaking customers. You will translate not just words, but the true intent, expectations, and technical project details so that absolutely nothing is lost in translation.

Beyond communication, this is a coordination-and-resolution role. While you won't personally run the field crews or order inventory, you are fully responsible for ensuring every project detail is clearly communicated, every roadblock is driven to a solution, and every department is pulled together to close issues quickly—without needing to escalate them to ownership

Language Requirements (Non-Negotiable)
  • English: Full professional fluency. You must be able to communicate clearly, warmly, and persuasively with customers both in writing and over the phone.
  • Russian and/or Ukrainian: High fluency sufficient to interpret complex, technical field conversations accurately and in real-time.
  • Live Translation: Ability to translate between customers and crews on live calls and on-site, conveying exact meaning and intent so there is zero misunderstanding.

Core Responsibilities:

1. Communication & Translation
  • Serve as the central hub of communication between customers and field crews.
  • Confirm all project details with both sides prior to execution to prevent miscommunication and avoid unnecessary headaches.
  • Ensure the Project Foreman fully understands all project details well ahead of the installation date.
  • Acknowledge customer requests or concerns immediately and relentlessly drive them to a resolution.

2. Customer Care & Problem Solving
  • Maintain a professional, courteous, and confidence-building demeanor with customers at all times.
  • Calmly de-escalate tense situations, take customer complaints in stride, and actively work every problem until a solution is reached.
  • Act as a strong, proactive problem solver—take initiative rather than waiting for direction.
  • Own the resolution of any project issue by identifying the fix and ensuring it actually happens.
  • Remain highly available and responsive to customers during business hours, and reachable for urgent project issues.
  • Manage all project rescheduling proactively: contact the customer, coordinate the new date, and confirm it with the crew.

3. Cross-Department Coordination
  • Coordinate 811 utility locates ahead of every single installation.
  • Partner with the On-Site Project Manager (Paul) on field execution and delivery.
  • Coordinate with the Procurement Director regarding material needs.
  • Collaborate with the Accountant on customer billing and payment matters.
  • Work directly across departments to resolve issues locally; success in this role means problems are resolved before they reach ownership.

             Authority & Collaboration Model

Cross-Departmental Authority: Because this role is accountable for outcomes achieved through other departments, it carries standing cross-departmental coordination authority on all active projects. When you raise an issue or request tied to a live job, the On-Site PM, Procurement Director, and Accountant are expected to respond and act within the project timeline. You direct project coordination, not personnel; department heads retain authority over their teams but are accountable for moving on your project-critical requests.
