About the Client:
The client is a premier mortgage lending firm based in Irvine, California, specializing in high-touch, personalized home-financing experiences. They combine modern fintech speed with boutique-level care. As they expand cross-border lending operations, particularly in Costa Rica, they are seeking a high-caliber professional to serve as the bridge between sales and operations teams.
About the Role:
This is not a routine administrative position. The Junior Loan Officer / Client Support VA will play a critical role in managing client relationships, maintaining CRM integrity, and coordinating complex documentation. This role is designed as a growth opportunity, with a clear pathway toward becoming a full Loan Officer for high-performing professionals who demonstrate ownership, discipline, and strong client-facing skills.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
• Serve as a primary point of contact for borrowers from initial sales contact through loan closing
• Conduct professional, consultative conversations to gather borrower data and explain documentation requirements
• Manage high-volume outreach to medium- and low-intent leads with professionalism and clarity
• Build and maintain relationships with Costa Rica-based real estate agents and referral partners
• Collect and organize borrower income verification, asset statements, and property documentation
• Cross-check documents against submission requirements and verify accuracy across applications
• Coordinate with Operations to secure required closing documents such as HOA questionnaires and powers of attorney
• Proactively monitor loan file status to resolve bottlenecks and ensure timely closings
• Maintain accurate and detailed CRM updates (e.g., HubSpot) after every client interaction
• Support Loan Officers with calendar management and internal coordination
🎯 Qualifications & Skills
• C1 or near-native fluency in English (spoken and written) required
• Spanish proficiency strongly preferred for Costa Rica operations
• 1–3 years of experience in mortgage operations, loan processing, LOA roles, or high-level financial sales support
• Strong conversational maturity and confidence when speaking with U.S.-based clients and stakeholders
• Ownership mentality with the ability to manage files independently without constant supervision
• Highly organized with a Type A mindset and strong pipeline management discipline
• Proficient in Google Workspace and/or Microsoft 365
• Experience using CRM systems such as HubSpot
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
• Reliable high-speed internet, professional-grade headset, and a quiet, dedicated home office
