About the Role
The client is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator (Virtual) to join their medical offices in a long-term position. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring smooth scheduling, clear communication, and exceptional service at every step of the patient journey. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, empathy, strong communication skills, and a solid understanding of the healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Appointment Management: Answer incoming calls to schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments using the internal EMR system.
- Patient Communication: Proactively reach out to patients who have missed appointments or are due for follow-up care.
- Message Handling: Return patient phone calls and messages promptly and efficiently.
- Customer Service: Build rapport with patients, ensuring a positive experience and high levels of satisfaction.
Qualifications
- 4–5 years of proven experience as a receptionist or customer service representative in a medical practice.
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and familiarity with Voice over IP (VoIP) phone systems.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish, both verbal and written.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage tasks without constant supervision.
- Reliable computer, stable internet connection, and professional headset.
- Degree required (field non-specific).
- Must be trustworthy and capable of handling sensitive patient information. Candidates will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement to ensure confidentiality and data security.
