About the Client:
The client is a growing boutique real estate media and videography company. Moving away from standard, cookie-cutter real estate templates, they focus on high-end, custom, and artistic visual storytelling for real estate agents and property listings. They are dedicated to creating trend-forward, highly engaging media that captures the unique character of every property and resonates on social platforms.
We are looking for a dedicated, long-term creative partner to join our team part-time. This role offers flexible hours, a career-focused environment, and the opportunity to grow into a full-time position as the business scales.
About the Role:
As our Creative Video Editor, your primary pain point to solve is freeing up the owner from the editing desk. The core of your time will be strictly dedicated to the real estate video editing to maintain a fast turnaround on property shoots. Any remaining time will involve marketing tasks, trend tracking, and social media optimization as your capacity allows during slower weeks. You will not just be executing a technical checklist; you will be a true creative collaborator who takes raw footage and efficiently crafts high-end real estate assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Custom Video Editing (Core Focus): Edit real estate listing and promotional videos using a custom, artistic style tailored to specific agents and properties (strictly avoiding generic, cookie-cutter templates).
- Workflow & File Management: Efficiently manage, download, and render large video files remotely while maintaining highly organized project files.
- Trend Tracking & Pitching: Stay actively up to date with U.S. social media trends, music choices, and editing styles to ensure content remains competitive and modern.
- Creative Collaboration: Actively brainstorm, pitch creative ideas, and collaborate on the brand’s visual direction rather than waiting for hand-holding or explicit instructions.
- Social Media Optimization (As Time Permits): Crop, re-edit, and format footage into trendy, high-engagement content for platforms like Instagram Reels and TikTok.
- Performance Metrics: Monitor and analyze video performance metrics (engagement, views, retention) to understand what styles resonate best and optimize future edits accordingly.
Qualifications & Skills
Technical Skills & Experience:
- Experience: 3+ years of professional video editing experience, ideally with a portfolio highlighting real estate, architecture, or lifestyle marketing.
- Software Proficiency: Expert-level mastery of Adobe Premiere Pro is Required.
- U.S. Market Exposure: Previous experience working successfully with U.S.-based businesses or marketing agencies. An understanding of U.S. real estate dynamics is highly preferred.
- Hardware Capabilities: Must own a high-performance computer setup capable of smoothly processing, editing, and rendering large, high-definition video files.
- Reliable Infrastructure: Exceptionally strong, stable internet connection capable of handling heavy cloud uploads/downloads (or supporting remote desktop editing if required).
Soft Skills & Culture Fit:
- Artistic Sensibility: Strong visual eye for pacing, color grading, music synchronization, and storytelling.
- Proactive Mindset: A self-starter who takes ownership of tasks, brings fresh ideas to the table, and actively suggests process improvements.
- Career-Oriented: Seeking a stable, long-term professional relationship to grow alongside a scaling business, rather than treating this as a temporary freelance gig.
- Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written English fluency, with the ability to easily grasp abstract creative visions and translate them into final video assets.
