About the Client:

 

The client is a rapidly growing pet treat manufacturer specializing in high-quality, chemical-free dog and cat treats. We operate across multiple channels, including e-commerce, wholesale, and retail. As we move into a new facility and scale our operations, we are looking for a high-level partner to help organize the "chaos" of a fast-growing business and serve as the "glue" that keeps our team and processes aligned.

 

About the Role:

 

The client is looking for a growth-oriented, marketing-minded E-commerce Marketplace Manager to oversee, scale, and drive revenue across our multi-channel online presence. This is not a role for a passive task-doer or a traditional customer service operator. We need a commercial thinker with a strong digital marketing background who will focus on driving sales, optimizing conversion rates, and uncovering expansion opportunities across our entire digital ecosystem.

 

While we retain a specialized agency to handle day-to-day Amazon operations, you will serve as our internal growth anchor—setting sales targets, executing promotions, and auditing agency performance to ensure a cohesive, revenue-driving brand strategy. If you have a marketer’s DNA, an established playbook for digital sales growth, and want to own the commercial nervous system of a premium pet brand, we want to hear from you.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Growth Marketplace Expansion

  • TikTok Shop: Drive progress on this high-priority channel by owning day-to-day operations and scaling our creator/affiliate marketing network.
  • Promotional Execution: Leverage native platform promotions (e.g., Walmart Flash Picks, TikTok campaigns) and sync them perfectly with the brand’s master marketing calendar to maximize sales velocity.
  • Growth Platforms: Lead the setup, marketing strategy, and ongoing management of our presence on Target Plus, Chewy, and specialized partner channels (Agentic, ShopDot, Loop & Tie).
  • Social Commerce: Manage and optimize social commerce listings, advertising feeds, and native shop operations across Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest to maximize reach and conversion.

2. Existing Marketplace Optimization

  • Google Shopping & Merchant Center: Manage and optimize product listings and data feeds to maximize visibility and ad efficiency across Google’s shopping ecosystem.
  • Walmart Seller Center: Take full ownership of Walmart operations, optimizing listings and executing growth strategies to scale our presence.
  • Shopify Storefront: Manage the primary Shopify storefront to ensure high-converting copy, optimized user experience, and seamless single-source-of-truth data.
  • Amazon Agency Oversight: Act as the internal point of contact, setting performance targets, and auditing agency execution against sales goals.

3. Operations & Pricing Integrity

  • Catalog Health & SEO: Constantly audit and optimize listings across all channels for SEO, high-converting copy, image accuracy, and search visibility.
  • Pricing Integrity: Monitor and maintain pricing parity across all marketplaces to prevent account suspensions or buy-box suppression.
  • Inventory Coordination: Partner closely with our logistics team to align inventory levels with multi-channel sales forecasts, mitigating stockouts during promotional pushes.

Qualifications & Skills

Professional Background & Marketing Mindset

  • Digital Marketing DNA: A strong background in digital marketing, growth marketing, or e-commerce sales. We prioritize a marketer's mindset—focused on driving traffic, sales, and conversion—over a background in customer service or pure operations.
  • Sales Growth: Proven track record of driving significant sales growth and optimizing revenue across e-commerce channels.
  • Strategic Mindset: A proactive operator who takes extreme ownership. You don't just wait for instructions; you identify growth opportunities, campaign ideas, and optimization gaps independently.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills required to seamlessly bridge the gap between our internal team, external agencies, and influencer/affiliate networks.

Platform Expertise & Flexibility

  • Core Toolkit: Hands-on experience with Shopify and Google Merchant Center is highly preferred.
  • Channel Flexibility: Prior exposure to marketplace ecosystems (like Walmart Seller Center, TikTok Shop, Target Plus, or Chewy) is a major plus. However, we are willing to train the right candidate on specific platforms if they possess a strong, foundational understanding of digital marketing and sales strategy.
  • Marketplace SEO: Bring an established playbook for driving organic keyword rankings and optimizing listings to convert browsers into buyers.
