About the Role

The client is seeking a Litigation Attorney to support high-volume personal injury litigation matters from case evaluation through trial preparation. This role is responsible for drafting and reviewing complex legal documents, managing discovery, analyzing litigation strategy, preparing cases for trial, and ensuring assigned matters progress efficiently throughout the litigation lifecycle. The ideal candidate is a licensed attorney with strong litigation experience, exceptional drafting skills, a litigation-first mindset, and the ability to take ownership of a substantial caseload while working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
 

Key Responsibilities ✅

Case Analysis & Litigation Strategy

  • Review and analyze case files to support litigation strategy and case development.
  • Evaluate liability, damages, insurance coverage, and venue considerations.
  • Assess whether cases should proceed through litigation or pre-litigation resolution based on strategic legal analysis.
  • Identify risks, evidentiary gaps, and opportunities that may impact case outcomes.
 

Legal Drafting & Document Review

  • Draft, review, and refine complaints, summonses, motions, discovery responses, Bills of Particulars, and other litigation documents.
  • Utilize firm templates and AI-generated drafts while ensuring legal accuracy, completeness, and strategic alignment.
  • Adapt legal documents to reflect the specific facts and objectives of each case.
  • Maintain exceptional attention to detail in all written work.
 

Discovery Management & Case Development

  • Manage all stages of the discovery process.
  • Draft and review discovery demands and responses.
  • Coordinate post-deposition follow-up activities.
  • Proactively identify gaps in evidence and recommend actions to strengthen litigation strategy.
  • Monitor case progression while ensuring compliance with litigation deadlines.
 

Trial Preparation

  • Prepare subpoenas, trial notebooks, exhibits, and supporting trial documentation.
  • Coordinate with clients, medical providers, expert witnesses, and third parties.
  • Organize case materials to ensure complete trial readiness.
  • Support attorneys during hearings, motions, and trial preparation.
 

Case Ownership & Workflow Management

  • Manage assigned cases throughout the litigation lifecycle.
  • Track deadlines, filings, motions, and case milestones.
  • Maintain organized workflows while handling a high-volume caseload.
  • Demonstrate ownership by proactively advancing cases with minimal supervision.
 

Client & Stakeholder Communication

  • Communicate with clients to gather information and clarify case details.
  • Coordinate with medical providers, expert witnesses, insurance representatives, and other third parties.
  • Support ongoing case development through timely follow-up and professional communication.
 

Qualifications & Skills 🎯

Must

  • Licensed attorney in home country.
  • 3 - 5+ years of litigation experience.
  • Plaintiff-side personal injury litigation experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting U.S.-based law firms.
  • Strong legal drafting experience, including complaints, motions, discovery responses, Bills of Particulars, and related litigation documents.
  • Experience managing cases throughout the litigation lifecycle.
  • Advanced English communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and workflow management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple active cases simultaneously.
  • Litigation mindset with the ability to analyze legal strategy rather than simply execute tasks.
  • Proficiency using legal technology, document management systems, and AI-assisted drafting tools.
 

Preferred ⭐

  • Experience with New York litigation procedures.
